Eloise

I am very slow in writing my blogs. I don’t feel I’m a very good blogger. But this blog is written from the heart and like one of my previous blogs, it’s about my friend and mentor, Eloise De Sousa.

I was supposed to write this blog about my book which is almost ready for publication. I was  going to tell you  a couple of the hilarious lines I came up with: the dogs replies to one another. I could also have mentioned it’s almost there. On Sale!! But I have chosen not to. Instead, I want to write about the lady that has given me the encouragement, the will power to be an author. OK, I am no Maeve Binchy nor do I have the Bronte sisters’ great writing talents but, Eloise believes in my little book.

Eloise is very poorly. She needs a kidney transplant urgently. I had no idea she was so ill. She didn’t mention it when we spent time reading the story line or when she spent time editing and putting it all together ready for printing. El has sorted everything out because I’m useless at dealing with technology and didn’t know where to start.

I have prayed like I have never prayed before that a donor can be found. Meanwhile she will have to undergo dialysis to keep the kidneys functioning. I always thought of the human body as a wonderful thing; it’s like a well oiled machine and, like a machine, it can go wrong.

If only I were younger, I would jump at the chance of helping to be matched for a donation, but I’m not. I would love to help the friend and mentor who has given me a new  meaning to life in writing.

Meanwhile I will call on God for the miracle  that is needed to help my friend Eloise.

  1. Eloise is one of the most wonderful people I know. She never fails to help those people who need her help and always put them ahead of herself.
I hope upon hope that somebody comes forward to help her now that she needs a donor to restore her life.
Thanks for blogging this heartfelt post.
